Winter + Hibernation = Weight Gain




It’s getting colder, the furnace is on and I put my tree up this week. IT’S HIBERNATION TIME PEOPLE! Or is it??

If, like me, you live in Canada you’ll be spending most of your time indoors this winter. The most enjoyable thing for me on a cold winter’s evening is to nap like a black bear in her little bear cave. But unlike black bears I eat during the winter so hibernation is not going to work.

New Season = New Plan

Since I’ll be spending so much time indoors I might as well exercise in the comfort of my own home. I’ve got my rubber tension bands, my free weights, my yoga ball and of course my internet complete with online video sites where I can search instructional yoga, pilates and general exercise uploads to guide me.

Secondly I need a schedule. Break out the work calendar, stuff in my other to-do’s and see where I can fit in a good 20-30 minute workout.
